NLC India Renewables Wins 200 MW at SJVN’s 600 MW Wind Power Auction

NLC India has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary NLC India Renewables has received an LoA from SJVN for 200 MW of wind power capacity, secured through SJVN’s auction for 600 MW of ISTS-connected wind power projects.

NLC India has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary NLC India Renewables (NIRL) has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from SJVN for 200 MW of wind power capacity.

NIRL secured the capacity in SJVN’s auction to procure 600 MW of wind power from ISTS-connected wind power projects. The tender for this was floated in September 2025.

Next, SJVN will enter into a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with NIRL for the project. As per the terms of the tender, the project is required to achieve full-capacity commissioning within 24 months from the effective date of the PPA.

In the SJVN auction, Refex Green Power, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Refex Renewables and Infrastructure, won 80 MW at a tariff of INR 3.86/kWh. The company stated that the project will be developed in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.

Earlier this month, NLC India Renewables received a Letter of Intent from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam for a 275 MW/550 MWh standalone BESS project in Gujarat at a tariff of INR 2,31,989/MW/month.

Recently, NLC India executed an addendum to transfer 708.96 MW of renewable energy assets, including a 4 MW Green Hydrogen project, to its subsidiary NIRL, ahead of the proposed INR 4,000 crore IPO of NIRL by FY27.
