NLC India Renewables (NIRL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NLC India, has incorporated a joint venture company with the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) for the development of grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) power projects.

The newly formed joint venture has been incorporated under the name “NIRL NCRTC Renewables Limited” with an equity participation structure of 74:26 between NIRL and NCRTC, respectively.

According to the company, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs issued the Certificate of Incorporation for the joint venture on May 27, 2026.

In December 2025, NLC India announced that the company had received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from NCRTC for setting up 110 MW (AC) grid-connected solar PV power projects in Uttar Pradesh under captive mode. The tender for this was floated in August 2025.

The company will supply power generated from the aforesaid project for a period of 25 years under a power purchase agreement (PPA). The Scheduled Commencement of Supply Date (SCSD) for supplying power from the full Project capacity must be within a period of 24 months from the effective date of the PPA, the company said in a regulatory filing earlier.
