NLC India Commissions Second Phase of 300 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan
NLC India has commissioned 106 MW second phase of its 300 MW Barsingsar solar project in Rajasthan, raising total operational capacity to 158.83 MW.

							NLC India Ltd., a Navratna PSU under the Government of India, has commenced commercial operations of the second phase (106 MW) of its 300 MW Solar Power Project at Barsingsar in Bikaner district, Rajasthan.
The commissioning certificate was issued by the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Ltd. (RRECL). The first phase (52.83 MW) was declared operational on August 26, 2025. With this addition, NLCIL’s total installed renewable capacity stands at 1,588.83 MW.
NLCIL CMD Prasanna Kumar Motupalli said, “This commissioning marks another milestone in our journey toward a sustainable and diversified energy portfolio. NLCIL is advancing its renewable expansion plan to achieve 10 GW of green capacity by 2030, with ongoing solar and wind projects across Rajasthan, Gujarat, Assam, and Tamil Nadu.”
In FY25, the company generated over 2 billion units (BU) of green power, and the latest expansion is expected to further enhance clean energy output, reinforcing its contribution to India’s sustainable energy transition.
