NLC India Bags 450 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Project from NTPC
According to NLC, the hybrid project will be executed in two phases: a 300 MW capacity in Bikaner, Rajasthan, and a 150 MW capacity in Bhuj, Gujarat.

NLC India Ltd. has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from NTPC Limited for a 450 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) connected wind-solar hybrid power project.
According to the company, the hybrid project will be executed in two phases: a 300 MW capacity in Bikaner, Rajasthan, and a 150 MW capacity in Bhuj, Gujarat. The power generated will be supplied to NTPC Limited for a period of 25 years under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
The Scheduled Commencement of Supply Date (SCSD) for the entire project is set within 24 months from the effective date of the PPA, as per the official release.
In its regulatory filing, the company clarified that the order does not fall under related-party transactions. It further noted that neither NLC’s promoter group nor NTPC holds any cross-shareholding interests.
NLC India is a 'Navratna' government of India company engaged in lignite mining and power generation. In recent years, the company has diversified into renewable energy.
