The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has updated the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) by adding 499 MW of solar module capacity in List-l. With this, the cumulative module manufacturing capacity under ALMM has increased to 91,458 MW.
New entrants in the ALMM list include Nithin Sai Renewable (473 MW) and Worldone Energies (164 MW).
Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Ltd. (REIL) has added 10 MW in Co-ALMM with Icon Solar.
Some existing manufacturers have added models as a result of which their enlisted capacities in ALMM have changed. Swelect HHV Solar Photovoltaics has added 104 MW, with its capacity increasing to 807 MW from 703 MW earlier. The enlisted capacity of Orb Energy has increased by 1 MW to 72 MW.
However, the enlisted capacities of TP Solar, Jakson Engineers and Pahal Solar have decreased by 187 MW, 38 MW and 18 MW, respectively.
The List was last updated on June 5, 2025. Reliance Industries made an entry in the ALMM list with 1,716 MW of annual capacity from its facility in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
Avaada Electro added 1,272 MW of capacity in the ALMM list from its facility based in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Earlier, Avaada Electro's Dadri Facility in Uttar Pradesh was listed with a capacity of 1,165 MW/year.
Gujarat-based manufacturer SASA Energy made model additions, and the ALMM enlisted capacity reduced by 2 MW Pahal Solar to 98 MW.
Introduced in 2021, the ALMM serves as a critical quality control measure, ensuring that only approved solar module manufacturers are eligible for government projects, subsidies, and tenders. The list is regularly updated to reflect the status of compliant manufacturers.
Solar Cells will also come under the ambit of ALMM from June 1, 2026 onwards and will be listed under List-II.
