The National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Social and Economic Progress (CSEP) to deepen collaboration on research, policy support and implementation frameworks aligned with India’s decarbonisation and clean energy goals.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Mohammad Rihan, Director General, NISE, and Laveesh Bhandari, President, CSEP Research Foundation.
Under the partnership, NISE and CSEP will jointly work across several national-priority areas, including industrial and buildings decarbonisation, testing, standards and certification, capacity building, DISCOM impacts and grid integration, techno-economic analysis and energy planning, distributed renewable energy (DRE) policy and ecosystem development, and other collaborative research initiatives of national importance.
The collaboration brings together NISE’s domain and technical expertise in renewable energy with CSEP’s strengths in policy analysis and economic research. The institutions aim to support evidence-based policymaking, accelerate scalable clean energy solutions, and strengthen India’s low-carbon and energy-secure future.
