NHPC Invites Bids for 1,200 MW Solar Power Plants at Jalaun Solar Park in Uttar Pradesh

NHPC has issued a tender for the selection of solar power developers for setting up a 1,200 MW (4x300 MW) solar power plant in Jalaun Solar Power Park in Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh. Bid submission ends on September 5, 2025.

NHPC has floated a tender for setting up solar power plants (4x300 MW) for the 1,200 MW Jalaun Solar Power Park in Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh through a tariff-based competitive bidding.

The scope of work for the solar power developers includes development, operation and maintenance of the solar power plant of awarded capacity in the 1,200 MW solar park till the interconnection at the incoming side of the pooling substation.

Bidders need to pay a processing fee of INR 20 lakh (plus GST) for a 300 MW capacity and INR 30 lakh (plus GST) for a 600 MW capacity. Further, they need to furnish INR 10 crore as an earnest money deposit (EMD).

The last date for submission of bids is September 5, 2025. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on September 10, 2025.

The maximum capacity of the project that can be allocated to a single bidder is 50 percent of the total capacity, i.e. 600 MW. The minimum capacity permitted by any bidder shall be at least 300 MW. All projects are to be quoted in multiples of 300 MW.

This RfS requires the deployment of solar power projects. The bidder must deploy commercially established and operational technologies to minimise the technology risk and to achieve commissioning of the projects.

The modules used in the project shall be sourced only from the models and manufacturers included in List-I under the ‘Approved List of Models and Manufacturers’ as published by MNRE.

The declared annual AC capacity utilisation factor (CUF) must not be less than 26 percent.

The net worth of the bidder must be at least INR 79.48 lakh/MW of the quoted capacity, as on the last date of the previous financial year or as on the day not more than seven days prior to the due date of bid submission.

Additionally, the bidder must possess a minimum annual turnover of INR 119.22 lakh/MW of the quoted capacity during the previous financial year. Alternatively, the bidder must possess a working capital of at least INR 44.16 lakh/MW of the quoted capacity during the previous financial year.
