NCRTC Floats Tender for 3 MW Rooftop Solar Project on Namo Bharat Route

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has invited electronic bids for a 3.0 MWp rooftop solar PV project along the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor.

The project, to be developed under the RESCO model, includes design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and comprehensive operation and maintenance for a period of 25 years.

The tender will be executed via a Local Competitive Bidding (LCB) process, following a single-stage, two-packet system. The deadline for online bid submission is July 14, 2025 with technical bids to be opened on July 15.

The scope of the work includes installation across station rooftops, depot areas, and other viable spaces along the Namo Bharat corridor. The solar project will contribute to NCRTC’s sustainability goals, reducing dependency on conventional power and slashing carbon emissions.

The bid security: sis INR 21.55 lakh (in physical form), valid till February 6, 2026. The completion timeline:is  15 months for installation, 25 years for O&M.The availability of Tender Docs: From June 13 to July 14, 2025. Pre-bid Meeting:will be held on June 23, 2025 via video conferencing. 

The clarification deadline is June 26, 2025. No manual bids will be accepted; all submissions must be made via the portal. Bidders are required to register on the portal and use Class-III digital signatures for submissions. While there’s no cost for downloading the bid documents, NCRTC clarified that Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) and startups are not exempt from submitting the bid security, as the contract is classified under 'works'.

Bidders must ensure all documents, including scanned copies of the bid security and eligibility proofs, are uploaded on time. NCRTC will not be responsible for delays or missed submissions.
