NavSemi Energy expands with new PV/Solar System Components

Introduced four new charge controllers engineered to deliver optimum renewable energy harvesting

September 17, 2014. By Moulin

NavSemi Energy, a designer and manufacturer of power conversion products that maximizes the energy harvesting capabilities of individual solar panels, introduced four new charge controllers engineered to deliver optimum renewable energy harvesting with exceptional value and simplicity.

To meet the growing global demand for value-oriented, quality renewable energy system components for applications where maximum energy harvesting efficiency is essential, NavSemi worked with industry leading brand OutBack Power, also a member of the Alpha Group, to provide NavSemi products with superior quality, performance, and value.

The four new charge controllers lead with the NSE-M20-AS-100, designed for moderately powered solar panel installations, incorporates new fast MPPT (maximum power point tracking) technology. The NSE-M10-AS-100, for lower-powered applications requiring maximum harvesting efficiency, also offers MPPT technology and brings that performance to a new price level. For smaller systems in areas with consistent solar exposure where economical PWM (pulse-width modulation) charge controller technology represents the best system investment, NavSemi is introducing the new NSE-P10-AS-050 and NSE-P05-AS-050. All four models have 12/24V flexibility and include features such as temperature compensation, 4-stage charging capability, easier connectivity, and enhanced circuit protection.

“Since the charge controller represents a critical link in the solar energy chain, this was a natural place to combine NavSemi’s digital design expertise with OutBack Power’s renowned engineering capabilities to come up with a truly global product,” observes Babu Jain, NavSemi managing director and founder.  “Renewable energy systems in India and other expanding markets demand rugged, reliable and cost-effective technology. Working more closely with OutBack and Alpha, NavSemi Energy can help bring the benefits of renewably generated electricity delivered with greater reliability at lower costs, to meet the need of installers and users everywhere.”

In addition to the new charge controllers NavSemi unveils its complete range of products including its innovative PCU series of integrated inverters/charge controllers/battery chargers, which include all power conversion (PV and battery to AC) needed to transform a battery bank into a solar energy system in a single compact enclosure, putting renewable energy within the reach of more users. Other products include remote monitoring software and special-application solar charging and maximizing components designed for a wide international user base whose need for electricity can be met most cleanly and economically through renewable energy sources.
