MSPGCL Opens Bids for 502 MW Solar Power Project in Maharashtra

Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Ltd. (MSPGCL) has invited online bids for the design, engineering, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of 502 MWAC cumulative capacity crystalline ground-mounted solar PV technology grid interactive distributed agriculture feeder solarization by solar PV power plant under MSKVY 2.0 scheme.
Under the MSKVY 2.0 scheme, the initiative is open for bidding from prospective contractors who will be responsible for the comprehensive execution of the project on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis. The scope of work also includes a provision for three years of operation and maintenance.
The bidding process will be conducted through the Bharat Portal's E-tendering website. The key dates for the tender process have been outlined, with the start date for acceptance of tender fees set for March 18, 2024, and the last date for submission of online bids scheduled for May 10, 2024.
Bidders are required to pay a non-refundable tender fee of INR 25,000/- plus GST, with overseas bidders instructed to submit vendor registration and tender fees through international debit/credit cards.
Additionally, each bidder must submit a bid security/earnest money deposit (EMD) of INR 4.50 lakhs per MW along with the bid, in the form of a bank guarantee. The bid security is to be issued by any branch of the designated banks, payable at Mumbai.
To be eligible for bidding, contractors must demonstrate prior experience in executing ground-mounted solar PV projects on a turnkey basis. The tenderer's net worth, as of the previous financial year, must also be positive to qualify for participation.
