MSEDCL Empanels Shakti Pumps to Supply and Install 34,720 Off-grid Solar Pumps Under PM KUSUM
Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd. has announced that all 10,000 off-grid solar pumps offered through MSEDCL’s portal were booked by farmers in just 1.5 hours. This was the first tranche of 34,720 pumps supply and installation order the company received from MSEDCL under Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana.

Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd. has announced that all the 10,000 off-grid solar pumps from the company that were made available from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) portal to farmers across Maharashtra were selected within just 1.5 hours of the portal going live. The total value of this order is approximately INR 268.88 crore.
The company received a Letter of Empanelment from MSEDCL earlier this month for the supply and installation of 34,720 off-grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana and the Component B of PM-KUSUM Yojana.
The company’s Chairman, Dinesh Patidar, expressed, “This swift uptake by farmers is a demonstration of the trust placed in Shakti Pumps' technology and service excellence. With our proven execution capabilities and deep-rooted presence in Maharashtra, we are confident of delivering this order well within the stipulated timeline.”
Shakti Pumps has reported an 83.6 percent jump in FY25 revenue to INR 25,162 million, driven by strong domestic and export performance and improved margins. The company’s Profit after Tax (PAT) increased to INR 4,084 Mn in FY25 from INR 1,417 million in FY24.
