MRF has signed a power supply and consumption agreement with Serentica Renewables India 26 to purchase solar and wind power under the Government’s captive power policy. As part of the agreement, MRF will acquire up to 26 percent of the paid-up equity capital of Serentica Renewables India 26 Pvt. Ltd.

The investment, valued at INR 99 crore, will be made through cash consideration. According to an official filing, the acquisition aims to strengthen MRF’s renewable energy sourcing and reduce its carbon footprint through group captive generation, in line with the company’s sustainability goals.

Serentica Renewables India 26, incorporated in May 2025, is a renewable energy developer engaged in building, owning, and operating clean energy projects across solar, wind, hydel, geothermal, and energy storage segments. The company has yet to commence commercial operations.

MRF expects to complete the acquisition by July 31, 2026. No government or regulatory approvals are required for the transaction, and it does not constitute a related-party deal.
