Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (MPUVNL) has awarded 4.01 GW of solar capacity to 82 developers under the PM-KUSUM Component-C program, out of the 4.3 GW tendered.

As per the data released, topping the list, Dilip Buildcon secured ~1,363.54 MW, quoting tariffs between INR 2.74/kWh and INR 2.79/kWh. Sunbridge Solar Power won 471.29 MW at INR 2.75–2.85/kWh, while Landsmill Industries claimed 422.02 MW at INR 2.70–2.75/kWh. Purshotam Profiles and Ceigall India added 173.15 MW and 130 MW, respectively. The remaining 1,459.25 MW was distributed among other developers at tariffs ranging INR 2.68–2.78/kWh.

The auction’s lowest tariff was INR 2.40/kWh, achieved by Neutron Sunray for a 5 MW project, underscoring the continued cost-competitiveness of utility-scale solar. Originally launched in February 2025 for 1.5 GW, the tender was expanded to 4.3 GW to accommodate growing demand for distributed solar in the state. The power will be sold to MP Power Management Company under long-term agreements.

As per Ceigall India Ltd.’s statement regarding its contribution, it said, "The project involves the design, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and operation of grid-connected solar power plants across two districts in Madhya Pradesh. The contract is valued at an approximate EPC cost of INR 550 crore (including GST). The scope of work includes 18 months of execution, followed by a 25-year operational period, supported by a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) from the Scheduled Commercial Operation Date."

Further commenting on the development, Ramneek Sehgal, Chairman and Managing Director, Ceigall India Ltd., said, "Receiving this LOA from MPUVNL marks a significant milestone in Ceigall’s renewable energy journey. The PM KUSUM-C initiative is a transformative programme aimed at strengthening clean energy adoption while supporting India’s agricultural ecosystem. We are proud to contribute to Madhya Pradesh’s renewable energy goals and remain committed to delivering the project with high standards of efficiency, reliability, and sustainability."
