MPPTCL Launches Tender to Develop Transmission Network for 600 MW Morena Solar Power

MPPTCL has invited online turnkey bids to develop the transmission network required to evacuate 600 MW from the Morena Phase-1 Solar Park.<br />

Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company Ltd. (MPPTCL) has issued a global tender inviting online bids for the development of an intra-state transmission network to evacuate 600 MW from the Morena Phase-1 Solar Park.

The project will be executed on a turnkey basis and includes major system-strengthening works. According to the notice, the scope of work is divided into two components. Part A, under MPPTCL, includes construction of a new 400 kV substation at Sabalgarh, a 400 kV DCDS Quad Moose ACSR transmission line between the Morena pooling point (765 kV ISTS) and the new Sabalgarh substation, and a 220 kV LILO of both circuits of the existing Morena (MPPTCL), Morena (Adani) , Sabalgarh line.

Part B, handled by Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Ltd. (RUMSL), involves setting up 33/220 kV pooling substations at PSS-1 and PSS-2, along with associated 220 kV transmission lines connecting both pooling stations to the Sabalgarh 400 kV substation for evacuation of the full 600 MW capacity.

The tender will be conducted through ADB’s Single-Stage, Two-Envelope international bidding procedure. Bids must be submitted online through the state e-procurement portal mptenders.gov.in, and will be opened on January 16, 2026. The tender carries a document fee of INR 59,000 and an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of INR 6.5 crore.

MPPTCL has advised bidders to obtain Class-III digital certificates, upload all required documents including bid security in the prescribed envelopes, and monitor the e-tender portal for any corrigendum or deadline revisions. A pre-bid meeting will be held on December 16, both in person and via Webex.
