Montra Electric, an arm of the Murugappa Group, has expanded its dealership network in the National Capital Region (NCR) with the inauguration of two new outlets—an electric Small Commercial Vehicle (e-SCV) dealership in Libaspur, North Delhi, and an electric three-Wheeler (e-3W) dealership in Surajpur, Greater Noida.

The Greater Noida e-3W dealership, operated by Vigsons Automobiles, will cater to last-mile passenger and cargo segments, serving both individual owner-operators and fleet customers. The outlet will retail Montra Electric’s Super Auto and Super Cargo models and is equipped with dedicated service infrastructure and trained EV technicians to ensure faster turnaround times and higher vehicle uptime—critical factors for daily-use commercial operators.

The North Delhi e-SCV dealership, operated by Action Volt Wheels by Action Earth Movers Group, is designed to support businesses deploying electric SCVs for mid-mile and intra-city logistics. The facility will address use cases such as e-commerce distribution, FMCG movement and urban freight, with workshop and after-sales capabilities aligned to fleet requirements for reliability and service responsiveness.

Senior leadership from TI Clean Mobility attended the dealership inaugurations, including Arun Murugappan (Chairman); Jalaj Gupta (Managing Director); Saju Nair (CEO – e-SCV); and Deependra Sharma (CEO – e-3W), of Montra Electric, underscoring the strategic importance of NCR in the company’s national expansion strategy.

Commenting on the expansion, Arun Murugappan said the shift to electric commercial mobility represents an institutional transformation rather than a simple product transition. He emphasised that scaling clean mobility sustainably will depend on building a robust ecosystem focused on quality, service and long-term ownership confidence.

Jalaj Gupta noted that Delhi-NCR is a structurally critical market for electric commercial vehicles, where growth is being driven by real-world operating use cases rather than experimentation.

He added, “Montra Electric’s focus is on developing a dependable retail and service network that supports scale and positions electric mobility as a reliable business solution.”

The twin additions deepen the company’s footprint in NCR at a time when the region is emerging as one of India’s most active markets for electric commercial vehicles. Adoption in NCR is being driven by urban logistics, shared passenger mobility and the increasing deployment of EV fleets for intra-city operations, as electric vehicles transition from pilot projects to mainstream commercial use.
