The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has published an updated Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) for wind turbines, dated October 29, 2026, covering 30 models with rated capacities ranging from 225 kW to 5.3 MW. The list includes wind turbine models from Indian and international manufacturers, along with their technical specifications, rotor diameters, hub heights, tower configurations, type certificate validity and manufacturing-system certification details.
Among the highest-capacity models is the GWH182-5.3 turbine from Venwind Refex Power Ltd., rated at 5.3 MW, with a rotor diameter of 183.5 metres and hub heights of 110 metres and 130 metres. The model uses a conical steel tower and has been developed in collaboration with Germany-based Vensys Energy AG. Its type certificate is valid until December 21, 2028, subject to the validity of component certificates for gearbox types WE7000G and WE7000G-01, which expire on February 27, 2028.
