MNRE to implement a National Biogas and Manure Management Programme (NBMMP)

State-wise targets under NBMMP

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy is implementing a National Biogas and Manure Management Programme (NBMMP) for setting up family type biogas plants mainly in rural areas including remote villages.  A target of setting up of 1.06 lakh biogas plants has been fixed under NBMMP for the year 2013-14. The State-wise break-up of target is given below:

 Biogas plants and their related appliances are being promoted through organization of various training courses, workshops & seminars and information dissemination through print and electronic media.
