MNRE presents the Special Contribution Award to Clique Solar

The Ministry of New and Renewable energy (MNRE) awarded Clique Solar with the Special Contribution Award for commercializing the Concentrated Solar Thermal (CST) technology, ARUN, for industrial process heat (IPH) applications. The Award was presented by Dr. Farookh Abdullah, Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, at the National Workshop on Solar Thermal Systems in New Delhi today. Mr. Ashok Paranjape, Managing Director, Clique Solar received the Award on behalf of the Company.

Clique Solar is India’s first solar boiler company and a pioneer in the field of concentrated solar thermal technologies. Its patented technology, ARUN, is the only technology in the domain of Concentrated Solar Thermal that has been innovated and developed in India.

On the occasion of winning the Award, Mr Paranjape said, “The Award comes at an opportune time when CST industry and manufacturers are being questioned for the performance of the CST technologies. We will keep working to improve it further.”Earlier this year, Clique Solar became the only company to be nominated and have won the Intersolar Europe Award 2013.

CST technologies, like ARUN, are applicable in IPH applications that include steam / hot water / hot air delivery for various industrial processes applications like sterilization, milk pasteurization, effluent evaporation, steam generation for laundry & food processing, comfort cooling, industrial canteen cooking, etc. Having installed the ARUN system for varying applications in diverse industries such as dairy, automobile, chemical, etc, at reputed clients such as Mahindra, NTPC, ITC, Chitale Dairy, Akshardham, TVS Group, Ramakrishna Students Home, etc, Clique Solar has become particularly skilled in integrating the solar thermal system with the existing industrial processes.
