Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has issued a circular outlining the application fee structure for inclusion and updation under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers for wind turbines (ALMM-Wind) and wind turbine components (ALMM-WTC).
As per the notification, processing of applications, portal management, and manufacturing facility inspections will be carried out with support from the National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE), which will levy applicable service charges.
For ALMM-WTC, the ministry has set a fee of INR 3 lakh per model for inclusion or updation involving physical inspection of major components such as blades, gearboxes, generators, and towers. For updation of revised documents, including ISO certificates (other than type certificate documents) where no physical inspection is required, INR 50,000 will be charged.
“For multiple models from a particular manufacturer for which a single inspection visit of the manufacturing facility/location is required, the total fee for 'n' number of models shall be calculated as: Total Fee = (INR 1.5 lakhs ×n) + [INR 1.5 lakhs],” mentioned the notification.
It further added that the fee charges would be 50 percent for wind turbine components up to 1 MW capacity.
