MNRE issues state-wise commissioning status of Grid Connected Solar Power Projects

Ministry of New & Renewable Energy has issued the state-wise comissioning status of Grid Connected Solar Power Projects during 2014-15.

The status chart shows the commisioned capacity  of  grid connected solar power as on 31st March, 2015. 

It also highlights various commisioned capacity parameters like Total MNRE Projects MW, State Policy MW,  RPO MW, REC Scheme MW,  Pvt. Initiative (Roof top) MW, CPSUs MW.

The information shows the States of Rajasthan, Punjab and Andhra Pradesh leading country's solar installations during 2014-15. Surprisingly Rajasthan also leads the solar installations under REC scheme with 33.25 MW; whereas Punjab has seen highest installation [167 MW]  due to its State Policy. 

Gujarat, with no further push from the State, has slowed down with only 81MW of installation but is among the highest rooftop installation in the country with 51MW.
