MNRE invites applications for setting up 1000 MW Grid-Connected Solar PV Power Projects

The project comes with VGF of 1 crore for procurement of indigenous Cells & Modules

Ministry of New & Renewable Energy has announced the launch of scheme on for setting up of 1000 MW of Grid-Connected Solar PV Power Projects by Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs) and Government of India Organizations under various Central/ State Schemes/self-use/ 3rd Party Sale/ Merchant Sale with Viability Gap Funding (VGF) under Batch-V of Phase-II of JNNSM.

Till date, 500 MW have been allocated to NTPC, Railways, KVIC, NIFTEM and Solar Energy Corporation of India.

The project will be allocated on following criteria:

  • The proposals shall be in accordance to the provisions of the scheme.
  • The allocation will be made on pro-rata basis.
  • The date of commencement for receipt of proposals shall be (22/05/2015) at 0930 hrs.
  • The closing date of receipt of proposals shall be (12/06/2015) at 1730 hrs.
  • Proposals complete in all respects, received for capacity allocation will be considered and allocation will be made on pro-rata basis.
  • The Ministry reserves the right to reject any applications which do not comply to the provisions of the scheme.
  • Interested CPSUs and Government of India Organizations may forward their proposal as per the format uploaded on the MNRE website
