MNRE approves continuation of 'Off- Grid & Decentralized Solar Applications' scheme

Administrative approval for "Off-Grid & Decentralized Solar Applications" Scheme of Phase II of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission(JNNSM)

MNRE approves for continuation of "Off- Grid & Decentralized Solar Applications" Scheme in the 2nd Phase of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission during 12th Plan Period, including following sub schemes :-

Off-grid and Decentralised Solar PV Applications.
Off-Grid and Decentralised Solar Thermal Application
Grid-Connected Rooftop and Small Solar Power Plants Programme.
Off-Grid and Decentralised Solar Cooker Programme.

The operational guidelines for implementation of the sub Schemes would be issued separately.

This Order is for implementation of "Off-Grid and Decentralized Solar Applications" Scheme during 2014-15 and remaining period of 12th Plan Period towards meeting the targets of the Jawaharlal Nehru National solar Mission (JNNSM).The funds for its implementation would be met from the Plan allocation made in each financial year with an overall Plan Outlay of Rs. 4730 crores. The sub scheme wise Financial Outlay is given below:

The expenditure involved is debitable to the budget heads, for current financial year 2014-15. It supersedes the Administrative Approvals issued earlier for implementation of the "Off-Grid & Decentralized Solar Applications" Scheme of Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission vide order no. 5/23/2009-P&C dated 8 July, 2010 and subsequent amendments and order of continuation of scheme dated 6th May, 2011 and 8th June 2012.
