MMRDA Release Tender for Rooftop Solar Projects worth 7.63 MW at Mumbai Metro Site

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has announced that it has invited bids for setting up of 7.63 MW of rooftop solar PV projects at the location of Mumbai Metro Rail project line 7 and 2A.
The concise scale of work includes the supply, design, engineering, manufacturing, storage, civil work, erection of the suitable structure, testing and commissioning of the project.
The project will be developed under Renewable Energy Service Companies (RESCO) model, and the winning bidder will enter into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with MMRDA for the supply of Solar Power for 25 years from the Date of Commissioning. The developer will also be responsible for the comprehensive Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of the project for a period of 25 years.
The final date of bid submission is March 15, 2019, and the tender will open on March 18, 2019. A pre-bid meeting will be held on February 25, 2019, to attend to the apprehensions raised by the potential bidders.
To be qualified, the bidder should have total installed and commissioned capacity of grid-connected Solar PV Project of minimum 3.815 MW during the last 10 years ending 31.01.2019 and Rooftop Solar PV Project capacity of minimum 0.95 MW in the last 10 years. The yearly revenue in any one of the last 5 financial years for the bidders should not be less than Rs 15.26 crores.
