MMCM Appoints Prasad S. Shetty as Chief Financial Officer
MMCM appoints Prasad S. Shetty as CFO, strengthening financial leadership and governance as the company expands its circular economy and carbon market operations.

Meta Materials Circular Markets (MMCM), India’s circular economy solutions platform, has appointed Prasad S. Shetty as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), strengthening its leadership team to support the company’s next phase of growth.
Shetty is a Chartered Accountant with more than 13 years of experience across finance, financial strategy, taxation, governance, financial controls and business partnering across multiple industries.
Prior to joining MMCM, Shetty served as Associate Director – Finance at Freight Tiger, a Tata Motors backed logistics technology startup. He was part of the senior finance leadership team and worked closely with business and finance leadership on financial planning, management reporting, taxation, working capital, governance and process improvements.
Earlier, Shetty worked at BARC India, where he managed taxation, financial reporting and audits, while contributing to strengthening financial controls and operational efficiency. At Allcargo Logistics, he played a key role in the group wide implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST), covering compliance framework design, tax process transformation and nationwide rollout.
MMCM said that Shetty’s appointment comes at an important stage as the company focuses on strengthening financial discipline, governance and long term value creation in India’s circular economy market. The company is also expanding its presence across carbon credits, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) frameworks and digital Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) systems.
Commenting on the appointment, MMCM CEO Nitin Chitkara said that the company needs a leadership team capable of matching the momentum in India’s circular economy and carbon markets ecosystem. He said that Shetty’s financial and governance experience across high growth and complex businesses would support MMCM as it scales operations, strengthens financial discipline and builds credible market infrastructure.
Shetty said that he was excited to join MMCM at a pivotal time for India’s circular economy and carbon markets. He further added that he would focus on building robust financial foundations, strengthening governance and working with the leadership team to support the company’s long term growth and value creation.
As CFO, Shetty will lead MMCM’s finance function and play a strategic role in shaping the company’s financial direction, driving financial discipline and partnering with key stakeholders to support sustainable growth.
