Michelin Inks Power Purchase Agreement with CleanMax Enviro to Expand Use of Renewable Energy to 37 Percent
The Chennai factory unit has undertaken several steps towards preserving and supporting lower emissions as part of the 4R strategy - reduce, reuse, recycle and renew.

French tyre manufacturer Michelin has inked a power purchase agreement with CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions Pvt Ltd intended at expanding its renewable energy sources at its amenity.
The first long-term open access power purchase agreement would permit the tyre maker to augment its utilise of renewable energy to 37 percent from the present 11 percent at its amenity in Thervoy Kandigai situated about 45 km west of Chennai in the near region Tiruvallur district.

Michelin India has several green energy projects in and around its revolutionary manufacturing plant as part of the Michelin Group's worldwide green mission to become carbon-neutral by 2050.
