Meyer Burger to Launch New High-Performance Solar Modules on April 27; Inks Sales Deal with Solarmarkt

Meyer Burger is planning to launch its new high-performance solar modules on 27th April and has also signed a sales partnership agreement with Solarmarkt GmbH in Switzerland.

As per the agreement, Solarmarkt has now become the first official sales partner and will be selling Meyer Burger’s new high-performance solar modules in the Switzerland market.

Post launch on April 27, installers in Switzerland will be able to order Meyer Burger’s modules from Solarmarkt and offer them to their customers, the company said in a statement.

However, it will further announce sales partners for the European target markets and the USA for the market launch, it added.

Moreover, the company is planning to deliver the first significant volumes from its German factory July.

The company produces solar cells and modules and the necessary machines in its own factories in Germany, using a combination of heterojunction and SmartWire technology. It has brought these from the laboratory to mass production maturity over the past 12 years.

The solar modules of the new generation have around 20 percent higher energy yield on the same area than current standard modules, meet the highest aesthetic demands and are manufactured under consistent sustainability standards.

Commenting on the development, Moritz Borgmann, Managing Director of Meyer Burger (Industries) GmbH and responsible for sales and marketing, said “Solarmarkt is a strategically important and strong partner for Meyer Burger in the Swiss solar market.”
