MeteoPole announces the organization of the first ZephyTOOLS CFD user meeting in Hyderabad, India. The event will be held on October 7th, 2014.

One of MeteoPole's main mission in the global wind industry is to reduce uncertainties of future projects in order to make the wind industry more bankable and unlimited speed CFD modeling is clearly part of the solution.

ZephyTOOLS is a full opensource CFD wind software based on OpenFOAM. The solution is already used by industry leaders (Deutsche Windguard, GDF, EDF...) who have contributed in the project by helping us developing the tool according to their requirements.

In less than a year in India, the solution is now being used by Indian industry leaders. Suzlon, CLP India, Tata Power, Greenko, GreenInfra, Welspun, Renew Power, CWET, Leitwind, Garuda and Gamesa will all be invited in taking part to this first ever User Meeting in India.

ZephyTOOLS is the newest generation of CFD wind modeling and offers many advantages compared to the existing solutions:

  • Open source software without dongle so unlimited machine deployment is now possible!
  • Multiple turbulence model (the most appropriate turbulence model is used for any given site)
  • ZephyCLOUD option to overcome the CFD solver time limitation of traditional CFD software (proven scalability!)
  • Unique time-saving meshing techniques (one cylindrical mesh built for the whole wind rose)
  • OpenFoam-based solver with extensive validations

"At MeteoPole, our user satisfaction is our top priority concern. ", says MeteoPole's CEO Mr. Karim Fahssis. "Through annual user meetings, we want to keep our software users in the Indian industry updated on the latest features of ZephyTOOLS and bring the required CFD expertise. We are proud to see that CFD is finally becoming a wind modeling standard thanks to a solution which overcomes the main limitations of the traditional CFD software in terms of price, calculation time, hardware requirement and convergence issues."
