MEIL Bags Limca Book Record for Quick Conclusion of Power Project

Megha Engineering and Infrastructures (MEIL) has announced that it has baaged a place in ‘Limca Book of National Records’ by concluding a complex power substation project in discordant weather conditions in approximately half the specified timeframe.

The 400/220KV power substation for Power Grid Corporation was built in a record time of seven months, which is five months ahead of the slated deadline while gratifying all the quality parameters, believed MEIL in an announcement.

The project at NP Kunta in Ananthapur district of Andhra Pradesh usually takes 15-18 months for execution but “MEIL could complete it within a span of 7 months as per Power Grid Corporation requirements,” supposed MEIL director B Srinivas Reddy. “To achieve this record breaking performance, we mobilized additional resources, machinery. At the same time our engineers and field staff worked for three shifts (24 hours).
