MEDA Issues Tender for Setting Up Off-Grid Solar Systems Across Amravati

The Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) has announced that it has released a tender, seeking bids from eligible parties for setting up of cumulative 126 kW off-grid solar power plants, 88 solar street lights and 10 solar base high masts across several locations in Amravati in Maharashtra.

The scope of work for the nominated bidders will include the design, survey, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the off-grid solar systems. The developers will also be required to provide 5 years of comprehensive operation and maintenance of the systems for a period of 5 years from the date of successful commissioning.

The bidder shall guarantee that the off-grid solar systems should be commissioned within 60 days from the date of issue of the work order.

As per the tender, the cumulative 126 kW off-grid systems will be set up across 23 government schools, primary health sub centers and 4 solar water pumping systems in Amravati. The solar street lights and high masts will be set up across 16 and 4 locations in the district.

The last date for bid submission is October 3, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on October 4, 2019.

The projected cost of the tender projects is Rs 1.79 crore (Rs 1,79,26,118), and all bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 1.8 lakh along with their bids. Bidders are also required to submit a 3 percent contract value for their work as security deposit after placement of the work order.

To be qualified, the bidders must have experience of manufacturing, supply, installation testing, installation/ commissioning and maintenance/ after-sale services in the field of off-grid/on-grid solar systems of more than 200 kW cumulative capacities. Out of this 200 kW, a single project of minimum capacity 25kW must have to be executed by the bidder.
