MaxVolt Energy Launches IoT-Enabled Smart BMS for Smarter EV Batteries

MaxVolt Energy has introduced an IoT-enabled Smart Battery Management System (BMS) for lithium battery packs, aimed at enhancing safety, performance, and real-time monitoring across electric mobility applications.

The newly launched Smart BMS integrates secure IoT technology with Bluetooth connectivity, allowing users to access real-time battery data through dedicated mobile applications. Vehicle owners and fleet operators can monitor key parameters such as battery health, charging status, temperature, and overall system performance, improving operational transparency and control.

A key highlight of the innovation is MaxVolt Energy’s collaboration with IIT Roorkee to develop AI-powered algorithms for precise estimation of State of Charge (SoC) and State of Health (SoH). These capabilities enable predictive diagnostics, helping detect potential issues early and reducing downtime and maintenance costs.

The Smart BMS is built with a strong focus on safety, featuring multiple protection mechanisms against overcharging, short circuits, and overheating. It complies with AIS-156 safety standards, ensuring reliability under diverse operating conditions.

MaxVolt’s lithium battery packs are designed for a wide range of applications, including electric two-wheelers, e-rickshaws, cargo vehicles, and solar street lighting systems. Engineered for Indian conditions, the batteries offer fast charging, longer lifecycle, and consistent performance across varying temperatures.
