Mallareddy Deemed to be University and ThunderPlus have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch EV-focused academic programmes and courses tailored for students, while also providing them with hands-on exposure through projects, internships and placements.

Mallareddy Deemed-to-be University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ThunderPlus to jointly foster talent and innovation in India’s Electric Vehicle (EV) sector. The collaboration will focus on creating specialised academic programmes, offering students real-world industry exposure, and driving research in sustainable and green technologies.

Under this MoU, the University and ThunderPlus will work together to launch EV-focused academic programmes and courses tailored for students, while also providing them with hands-on exposure through projects, internships and placements. In addition, both partners will collaborate on Research and Development (R&D) initiatives aimed at advancing green mobility and sustainable technologies.

Highlighting the importance of the partnership, Dr Ch Badra Reddy, Chairman, Mallareddy Group, said, “ThunderPlus has set new benchmarks in the Indian EV sector by making charging infrastructure reliable, accessible and scalable. Their innovative work is not only solving real-world challenges, but also inspiring future engineers to think big.”

As part of the Engineers’ Day celebrations, the University also felicitated Rajeev YSR, CEO, ThunderPlus, for his contributions to advance India’s EV ecosystem.

Expressing his gratitude, YSR said, “This recognition on Engineers’ Day is not just about me, but about the collective spirit of the ThunderPlus family. Together, we are building solutions to make EV adoption simple and accessible. Through this MoU, we look forward to nurture the next generation of engineers who will accelerate India’s transition to clean mobility.”
