MAHAGENCO Releases Tender For Solar Power Projects worth 138 MW

The Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MAHAGENCO) has announced that it has released a tender for selection of solar power developers (SPDs) for the deployment of 138 MW cumulative capacity of grid-connected solar PV power projects at various locations in the locality of the power stations of the Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (MSPGGCL).
The projects are to be developed under a public-private affiliation and will supply power under a power purchase agreement (PPA) of 25 years.
The concise range of work for selected bidders will include the design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the 138 MW capacity solar projects. Along with comprehensive operation and maintenance of the plant for the duration of the PPA.
The last date of submission of bids for this tender is March 06, 2019. And, all bidders will have to meet a financial eligibility criterion of proving a net worth of Rs 52 lakh per MW of bid capacity.
In December 2018, MAHAGENCO invited an expression of interest for the development of a 10 MW grid-connected floating solar power plant at the in Nashik district at Upper Vaitarna’s reservoir.
The generation company will enter into a 25-year power purchase agreement with the developer and will provide the area at the reservoir and the power sale agreement will be later signed by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL).
