Madhya Pradesh’s Sanchi Set to Recognise as First Solar City of India

The chief minister added that the accomplishment of many operations to transform Sanchi into a solar city was ready to finish by next month.

Sanchi is regarded as a world heritage site located in the Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh near Bhopal is soon going to get recognition of becoming the first solar city of India in the month of May.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan monitored the running operations in the Sanchi town to transform it into a solar city.

He also stated the utilisation of solar energy is being constantly boosted in MP and various solar power projects are functional throughout the state.

The chief minister added that the accomplishment of many operations to transform Sanchi into a solar city was ready to finish by next month.

The state Madhya Pradesh has made considerable huge development in the energy sector. Moreover, the state has become self-sufficient in power generation and supply, and the accomplishments of Madhya Pradesh in the renewable energy sector.

Now Sanchi is becoming the first solar city of the state to meet the power requirements and make it self-dependent in power supply.

The electricity will be generated utilising solar energy for Sanchi city and surrounding nearby rural areas.

Besides this, solar streetlights, garden lights, solar drinking water kiosks, battery moving e-rickshaws, charging stations, renewable energy plant wind turbines will be established.
