Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Invites Bids for 1,200 MW Solar Projects to Solarise Agricultural Feeders
Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam has issued a tender to set up 1,200 MW of grid-connected solar power plants under the feeder solarisation component of Surya Mitra Krishi Feeders Scheme for supplying power to Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company (MPPMCL). Bid submission ends on June 25, 2025.

Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. has floated a tender for setting up 1,200 MW grid-connected solar PV-based power plants (SPP) under feeder solarisation component of Surya Mitra Krishi Feeders Scheme for sale of power to the Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company (MPPMCL).
The scope of work includes design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning including construction of bay and related switchgear at sub-station along with comprehensive operation and maintenance for 25 yers.
Bidders need to pay INR 5,900 as a bid processing fee. They also need to furnish INR 1 lakh/MW as a bid security. Successful bidders must submit a performance bank guarantee of INR 1 lakh/MW within 60 days of receiving letter of award.
The last date for submission of bids is June 25, 2025. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on June 30, 2025. The financial bid will be opened on July 10, 2025.
All feeders linked to the same substation will be considered a single project, with the total capacity at that substation treated as one unified project.
In self-development mode, participation is open to individual farmers, farmer groups, cooperatives, panchayats, farmer-producer organizations, water user associations, government agricultural institutions, or other agriculture-related entities. These participants are not subject to any financial eligibility requirements but must own the land proposed for the project at the time of bidding.
In developer mode, eligible bidders include corporate entities registered in India. Participation is also allowed through a consortium or joint venture of up to two members, comprising companies, LLPs, or partnership firms in any combination.
Further, the net worth of the bidder, under the developer mode, must be a minimum of INR 1 crore/MW based on latest available audited financial statement.
