Québec-based Lumen, the province’s largest distributor of electrical equipment, has teamed up with Foresta, a Canadian EV charging software innovator, to deliver smarter, scalable charging solutions for fleets, parking facilities, and the hospitality sector.
The partnership targets the market’s most urgent needs. Fleet operators must electrify quickly without compromising competitiveness. Parking managers face high infrastructure costs and billing challenges. Hotels and tourist destinations need reliable and guest-friendly charging solutions to attract EV-driving customers.
“Fleet managers, parking owners, and hoteliers don’t just want chargers; they want flexible, scalable, and future-proof solutions. Together with Lumen, that’s what we can deliver,” said the Foresta team.
Lumen brings six decades of electrical distribution expertise, with 41 branches across Eastern Canada and more than 800 employees. The company has already played a key role in transportation electrification by supplying chargers and supporting contractors.
Foresta adds a software platform that is hardware-agnostic and compatible with OCPP chargers, offering monitoring, analytics, reservations, billing, access control, and dynamic power management. The system also enables customers to monetise charging assets by opening them to selective users, transforming idle infrastructure into new revenue streams.
“Our customers trust us to deliver not just equipment, but solutions that make electrification work. Foresta’s platform adds a vital layer of intelligence, ensuring charging is efficient, transparent, and built for growth,” said Pascal Fridman, Transport Electrification Manager at Lumen.
The collaboration positions Lumen and Foresta to accelerate EV adoption while making charging infrastructure profitable, reliable, and future-ready for businesses across Eastern Canada.
