L&T’s Power Business Wins Order from THDC India Ltd

L&T-MHPS Boilers Private Ltd (LMB) has announced that it has secured a large* order from THDC India Limited, which is a joint venture of Government of India and Government of Uttar Pradesh. 

The scope of work for LMB includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of Steam Generator and associated packages, including site levelling, for THDC’s 2x660 MW Khurja Super Thermal Power Project in Bulandshahar district, Uttar Pradesh. Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone of the plant in March this year.

Commenting on the order, Shailendra Roy, CEO & Managing Director - L&T Power and Whole-time Director - L&T, said, “This is a prestigious order from THDC India Ltd for ultra-supercritical steam generators, with state-of–the-art equipment meeting new emission norms. We have the manufacturing and execution capabilities to deliver to stringent schedules while conforming to global standards.”
