L&T Hydrocarbon Bags Offshore Contract worth Rs 2,500 Cr to Rs 5,000 Cr from ONGC

The engineering and construction services arm of Larsen & Toubro, L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering (LTHE), has won a contract ranging between Rs 2,500 crore to Rs 5,000 crore of worth from Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for their new Living Quarter (LQ) & Revamp at ‘NQ Complex’ (NLRNC-RT2) project.

The engineering and construction services arm of Larsen & Toubro, L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering (LTHE), has won a contract ranging between Rs 2,500 crore to Rs 5,000 crore of worth from Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for their new Living Quarter (LQ) & Revamp at ‘NQ Complex’ (NLRNC-RT2) project.

Further, the scope for EPCIC contract includes engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of a new living quarter platform, ‘NQL Platform’ of 120 men capacity, bridge (with intermediate support) to existing ‘NQO Complex’ and major revamping / replacement of existing process systems / facilities at ‘NQ Complex’ in ONGC’s Mumbai High Asset on the West Coast of India. 

The company has won this contract in an international competitive bidding on a Lump Sum Turnkey (LSTK) basis.

Commenting on securing the contract, Subramanian Sarma, Whole-time Director & Sr. EVP (Energy), Larsen & Toubro Ltd and CEO & MD, LTHE said that, “we have been delivering several large and mega projects for ONGC over the past decade. Our world-class fabrication facilities at Hazira (West Coast) and Kattupalli (East Coast) enable us to maximize the local content, entirely supporting the Government’s Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Policy.”

Organized under offshore, onshore, construction services, modular fabrication and Advanced Value Engineering & Technology (AdVENT) verticals, the company offers integrated design to build solutions across the hydrocarbon sector to domestic and international customers.

Recently, the company has won two separate EPCC orders from HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Ltd (HRRL), a joint venture (JV) between Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) and Government of Rajasthan.

It has won its first ‘Mega’ order worth over Rs 7,000 crore for setting up a Dual Feed Cracker Unit (DFCU), EPCC-07 Package (capacity: 890 KTPA) for Rajasthan Refinery Project at Barmer, Rajasthan. The DFCU is the biggest EPCC contract awarded in the country to date in the refinery and petrochemical sector. While, it has won another ‘Large’ contract ranging between Rs 2,500 crore to Rs 5,000 crore of worth for setting up a Petrochemical Fluidized Catalytic Cracking (PFCC) including Propylene Recovery Unit, EPCC-03 Package (capacity: 2.9 MMTPA), for Rajasthan Refinery Project at Barmer, Rajasthan.
