In a significant stride towards advancing sustainable energy practices, LONGi Green Energy Technology Co. Ltd. has officially inaugurated its LONGi Malaysia Serendah Module Plant in Selangor, Malaysia.
The MYR 1.8 billion (approximately RMB 2.8 billion) investment underscores LONGi's dedication to delivering solar products and driving sustainable development globally.
The facility, integrating cutting-edge photovoltaic industry technology will revolutionize the sector with a production prowess reaching 8.8 GW upon completion of all phases.
Li Wenxu, Vice President of LONGi Green Energy Group, highlighted the expansion to West Malaysia as a testament to the company's commitment to fostering sustainable growth within the nation.
The LONGi Malaysia Serendah Module Plant is not only a boost to the local economy but also aligns with Malaysia's goal to establish itself as a hub for sustainable development in Southeast Asia.
The plant is expected to provide approximately 900 high-quality jobs locally, contributing to Malaysia's vision for comprehensive decarbonisation.
