LNK Energy Achieves Financial Closure for Phase 1 of 6 GW Integrated Solar Manufacturing Facility

LNK Energy has achieved financial closure for Phase 1 of its 6 GW integrated solar manufacturing facility in Maharashtra with the State Bank of India.

LNK Energy has announced the financial closure of Phase 1 of its 6 GW integrated solar manufacturing facility in partnership with the State Bank of India (SBI).

The project will establish integrated manufacturing capabilities across the entire solar value chain, including ingot, wafer, solar cell and module production, at its facility in Maharashtra.

Last year, the company signed an MoU with the Government of Maharashtra to establish a 6 GW solar cell and module manufacturing plant at Auric, MITL, with an investment of INR 4,700 crore, aimed at enabling clean energy production and creating 2500 direct employment opportunities.

According to the company, the integrated manufacturing complex is aimed at strengthening India's domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem by creating end-to-end production capabilities and supporting the country's efforts to build a globally competitive solar supply chain.

Spread across over 60 acres in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra, the facility will manufacture high-efficiency solar cells and modules using advanced technologies and global best practices, stated the company earlier. The ground-breaking ceremony was held in May 2026.
