Lilypad Announces Fleet Expansion
Lilypad has unveiled plans to deploy 1,000 electric two-wheelers for last-mile delivery in Noida by Q2 2026, supported by HNIs, private investors, and partnerships across the EV ecosystem, including Battery Smart, major OEMs, and leading delivery aggregators.

Lilypad has committed INR 50 lakh of internal capital toward the scale-up, and has a strong funding pipeline of ~INR 2.5 crore to reach the 1,000-vehicle target within the next seven to eight months. The rollout begins this month with an initial batch of 150 vehicles, followed by a phased scale-up of 250 EVs every quarter.
“Last-mile delivery has been one of the strongest drivers of India’s EV adoption over the last five years, and its role will only grow from here. Lilypad is committed to building the partnerships, infrastructure and fleet capabilities needed to empower gig workers and shape a cleaner, more efficient urban mobility ecosystem. This deployment marks a major step in our journey to become a force for good in last-mile EV logistics across NCR,” said Prateek Darolia, B2B Lead, Lilypad.
The company will deploy its fleet across the entire Noida region, supported by a strong servicing, maintenance, and roadside assistance backbone, before expanding to Delhi and Gurgaon to build an integrated NCR-wide EV network. Each vehicle is equipped with IoT tracking, real-time telematics, geofencing, remote immobilisation, and fleet intelligence systems, ensuring high operational reliability, enhanced safety, and superior visibility for enterprise partners.
The deployment is projected to create significant environmental and economic impact across the NCR. By switching to an electric fleet at scale, Lilypad expects to help its partners reduce up to 1,000 metric tonnes of CO₂emissions annually, contributing meaningfully to cleaner urban air. For gig riders, the transition from 125cc petrol vehicles to EVs is expected to deliver up to 30 percent lower operating costs, directly improving their monthly earnings. The initiative will also generate 150+ direct jobs across Lilypad’s fleet operations, service, and logistics functions, while enabling over 1,000 gig workers to access sustainable income opportunities through Lilypad’s EV fleet deployed on partner delivery platforms.
