Leapting has announced that the company has signed an agreement with BluPine Energy to supply 2,000 G1 solar module cleaning robots for deployment across multiple solar projects in India.
The agreement was announced during the Renewable Energy India Expo (REI Expo) 2026, held from October 22–24 at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida, where Leapting launched its G1 PLUS intelligent solar cleaning robot and other solar operations and maintenance (O&M) solutions.
The agreement is aimed at supporting automated solar module cleaning and improving operational efficiency across BluPine Energy’s solar portfolio. Leapting’s robotic cleaning solutions are designed to reduce dependence on manual labour and water for module cleaning while supporting the operational performance of solar power plants, the company stated.
At REI Expo 2026, Leapting presented the G1 PLUS, the latest addition to its G1 series of automated solar cleaning robots. The system incorporates design enhancements in cleaning performance, obstacle navigation and environmental adaptability. Its features include a lightweight structure designed to reduce wind resistance and prevent module deformation, a high-density roller brush for module cleaning, and an intelligent twisting mechanism that can navigate gaps of less than 1 metre and misalignments of up to 25 degrees in under five seconds, the company stated.
It further added that the robot can operate on slopes of up to 25 degrees and has C4 corrosion protection, while both the unit and its control box carry IP65 protection ratings. The system uses waterless automated cleaning technology for solar modules.
Leapting said that it has supported solar photovoltaic projects with a combined capacity of more than 10 GW in India since entering the market. Its customers and partners include Adani Solar, ReNew Power, Waaree and BluPine Energy, the company stated.
The company has also been expanding its local operations to support Indian solar developers and asset owners. It established an Indian subsidiary in 2024 and set up a local production base in 2025 to improve product delivery, technical support and service response. The company combines its research and development capabilities with local manufacturing and service operations to address the requirements of the Indian solar market.
Beyond module cleaning, Leapting is expanding its portfolio of robotic solutions across the solar project lifecycle. Its offerings include an automatic photovoltaic (PV) module mounting robot, the G2D automatic cleaning robot and a solar project inspection robot, alongside the G1 PLUS. These solutions target applications in solar project construction, inspection and O&M.
