KREDL Extends Bid Deadline for 50 MW Pavagada Solar Park

Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited has announced that it has extended the tender submission time limit for a tender for solar project of 50 MW capacity at Pavagada Solar Park in Karnataka.

The bid submission time limit of the project, which was to be developed in 2 blocks of 10 MW each and 2 blocks of 15 MW each, has been extended for subsequent time due to the festive season and the ensuing bank holidays.

The latest time limit for online bid submission is December 31, 2018 while the hard copies can be submitted till January 2, 2019. The earlier deadline for the submission of online bids was December 28, 2018, and the hard copies were to be submitted by December 31, 2018.

The original date for the submission of bid was December 20, 2018 which was extended to December 28, 2018 at the start and now till December 31, 2018.

Apart from the EPC, the scale of work also includes erection, installation, testing, design, supply, and commissioning of the project with allied transmission system and operation and maintenance of the facility for 10 years.

Projected to have a total capacity of 2 GW when fully functional the Pavagada solar park spans across an area of 13,000 acres. For the ease of development the whole project has been segmented into eight blocks of 250 MW each having its own high voltage supply lines, pooling stations, and a pooling substation for evacuation.
