KPI Green Energy Signs 300 MW Wind Power PPA with SJVN

KPI Green Energy has signed a 25-year PPA with SJVN for a 300 MW ISTS-connected wind power project at a fixed tariff of INR 3.64 per unit.

KPI Green Energy, a part of KP Group, has announced that the company has executed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SJVN for a 300 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected wind power project at a fixed tariff of INR 3.64 per unit.

The project was secured through a competitive bidding process under SJVN's 600 MW ISTS-connected Wind Power Projects (WIND-3) tender. Power supply from the project is scheduled to commence within 24 months from the effective date of the PPA, KPI Green Energy stated in a regulatory filing.

The agreement marks an expansion of KPI Green Energy's utility-scale wind power portfolio and strengthens its independent power producer (IPP) business. The company said that the long-term fixed-tariff arrangement would provide predictable revenue streams over the 25-year contract period.

The project also contributes to the group's KP 3.0 roadmap, under which KPI Green Energy is targeting the development of 10 GW of owned IPP capacity by FY32.
