KPI Green Energy Secures CEIG Approval for 12.72 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Project

KPI Green Energy announced receiving Chief Electrical Inspector (CEIG) approval for a 12.72 MW wind-solar hybrid power project under its Captive Power Producer segment, boosting its renewable portfolio.

KPI Green Energy Ltd. has received approval from the Chief Electrical Inspector (CEIG) for its 12.72 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project, developed under the Captive Power Producer (CPP) segment. This was recently disclosed by the firm in its filing.

The project, executed for both KPI Green Energy Ltd. and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sun Drops Energia Pvt. Ltd,  represents a strategic effort to deliver integrated hybrid power solutions combining wind and solar energy. The CEIG approval has been obtained in the names of the respective clients, enabling the projects to commence operations.

Gujarat based firm is focused on developing, owning, operating, and maintaining renewable power plants. KPI Green operates through two primary business models: as an Independent Power Producer (IPP) and as a service provider for Captive Power Producers (CPP) under the brand 'Solarism'. As per the firm's portal it has an ambitious target to reach 1,000 MW by 2025 and has achieved a cumulative power evacuation capacity of 1,849 MW. Further, it has a solar and hybrid portfolio of 2.8 GW.

However, the Wind-Solar Hybrid model not only ensures a more reliable and efficient power supply but also supports India’s energy transition goals by providing clean, green energy.
