KPI Green Energy Receives LOI for 76.6 MW DC Wind-Solar Hybrid Project in Gujarat

KPI Green Energy has secured an LOI for a 76.6 MW DC wind-solar hybrid project in Gujarat, comprising 33.6 MW wind and 43 MW DC solar capacity, under a Group Captive arrangement.

KPI Green Energy, a part of KP Group, has announced that it has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from a domestic private corporate entity for the development of a Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project in Gujarat under a Group Captive arrangement.
 
The project comprises 33.6 MW of Wind capacity and 33.6 MW AC/43 MW DC of Solar capacity, aggregating to 76.6 MW DC capacity, the company stated in a regulatory filing.
 
As part of the arrangement, a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) will be established for the development, ownership and operation of the wind-solar hybrid project. KPI Green Energy will undertake project development, construction and commissioning.
 
The company is required to complete the project within 14 months from Stage-2 connectivity, and in any case by December 31, 2027. The Energy Supply Agreement will have a 25-year term from the commencement date.
 
“The project strengthens the company’s presence in the C&I and Group Captive renewable energy segments, enhances its Wind, Solar and Hybrid capabilities, and adds to its order book. It supports the Company’s strategy of expanding through IPP, Group Captive and EPC opportunities while delivering long-term stakeholder value,” the company stated.
