Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL) has conducted a successful tender for Wind-Solar Hybrid technology, with a total capacity of 500 MW. The competitive reverse auction, held on January 22, 2024, witnessed participation from key players in the industry.
Out of the tendered capacity, 280 MW was auctioned, and only 200 MW was awarded. The opening L1 tariff was set at INR 2.99 per kWh.
KPI Green Energy secured a 50 MW project with a competitive quoted rate of INR 2.99/KWh. Juniper Green Energy emerged with a larger share, winning a 150 MW contract at INR 3.04/KWh.
This outcome underscores the strategic and competitive dynamics at play in the auction, with companies carefully balancing capacity and tariff rates.
