KPI Green Energy has announced that the company has signed an EPC contract worth INR 696.50 crore with SJVN for a 200 MW (AC) solar power project at the GIPCL Renewable Energy Park, Khavda, Gujarat.
As per the agreement, KPI Green Energy will be responsible for supplying all plant and equipment for the 200 MW (AC) solar project as per approved specifications, along with executing the erection, installation, and construction works, including all civil, architectural, and structural activities at the site.
The company will also manage unloading, handling, storage, and insurance of the supplied equipment, followed by testing, commissioning, and performance demonstration to ensure operational acceptance.
Additionally, KPI Green Energy will undertake comprehensive operations and maintenance for three years after COD, covering all required spares and consumables.
These responsibilities are structured across three contracts – the Supply Contract, EPC Contract, and O&M Contract – collectively creating a robust turnkey framework for the project’s construction and early operational phase.
Reflecting on this development, Dr. Faruk G. Patel, Chairman and Managing Director, KP Group, said, “We are delighted to execute the contract with SJVN for the 200 MW project at Khavda. Securing and now formally entering into this agreement with a leading Government of India enterprise underscores KPI Green’s credibility and proven ability to deliver large-scale renewable energy projects. We are fully committed to delivering the project within the stipulated timelines and to the high quality standards that define our approach.”
The Khavda Renewable Energy Park is a high-priority clean-energy development zone in India. With this project, KPI Green further expands its footprint in Khavda to over 845 MWp (DC), enhancing its position as an emerging key EPC service provider in one of India’s most strategically important renewable corridors.
