KPI Green Energy has announced the energisation of an additional 130 MW AC/195 MW DC solar capacity at its 370 MW AC/677 MW DC wind-solar hybrid power project at Bharuch, Gujarat.
With this commissioning milestone, the company has cumulatively energised 269.7 MW AC/389.7 MW DC of capacity under the project, the company stated in a regulatory filing.
The project is being developed under the Independent Power Producer (IPP) model under a long-term power purchase agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL).
“The company continues to steadily expand its Independent Power Producer (IPP) portfolio, as it simultaneously scales its EPC business. The progressive energisation of capacity under long-term PPAs further strengthens the company's annuity-based, recurring revenue streams, enhancing earnings visibility and creating sustained long-term value for its stakeholders,” stated the company.
KPI Green Energy reported 16 percent YoY growth in Q1 FY27 revenue to INR 710 crore, while its renewable portfolio expanded to 6.94 GW with 2.88 GW of new orders.
As of June 30, 2026, the company's IPP portfolio stood at 2.57 GW, including 0.97 GW commissioned and 1.60 GW under execution. The portfolio includes solar, hybrid, wind and battery energy storage system projects. In Q1 FY27, KPI Green also signed a BESPA for 565 MW/1,130 MWh of battery storage capacity, with financial closure in progress.
The company is also strengthening its project execution platform through land and power evacuation infrastructure. Its strategic land bank increased to 8,657 acres by June 2026, while power evacuation capacity reached 5.10 GW.
KP Group is targeting more than 10 GW of RE capacity by 2030. The company is expanding its renewable energy portfolio across solar, wind, hybrid and battery storage, while also developing capabilities in floating solar and energy trading.
