KPI Green Energy Commissions First 24.2 MW AC of 250 MW GUVNL Solar IPP Project
The commissioning of the initial 24.2 MW AC capacity of the KPI Green Energy project has been completed ahead of the overall contractual schedule.

KPI Green Energy has commissioned the first 24.2 MW AC (34.4 MW DC) capacity of its 250 MW AC / 350 MW DC grid-connected solar independent power producer (IPP) project awarded by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL), the company said in a BSE filing.
The project was awarded to KPI Green Energy through a competitive bidding process under Request for Selection (RFS) No. GUVNL / 500 MW / Solar (Phase-XXIV) dated March 15, 2024. It forms part of GUVNL’s 500 MW solar tender for the procurement of power from grid-connected solar photovoltaic projects across India.
According to the filing, the commissioning of the initial 24.2 MW AC capacity has been completed ahead of the overall contractual schedule. The entire 250 MW AC (350 MW DC) project has a contractual completion timeline up to October 2026.
The company stated that the project is progressing in line with its planned execution milestones and performance benchmarks. KPI Green Energy added that the remaining capacity is expected to be implemented in a phased manner while maintaining efficiency, quality, and execution standards.
KPI Green Energy is engaged in the development and execution of renewable energy projects and continues to expand its solar IPP portfolio as part of its growth strategy.
