KPI Green Energy Ltd. has secured a 150 MW capacity allocation from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL) under its latest wind energy tender, marking a significant boost to the company’s renewable energy portfolio.

The Letter of Intent (LoI) was issued under GUVNL’s Phase IX wind auction floated in January this year. A reverse e-auction was conducted on April 22, in which KPI Green emerged as one of the successful bidders. The tender also included a greenshoe option for an additional 250 MW.

The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) will be signed post-approval from the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC).

As per the firm, the project is part of KPI Green’s strategic vision to achieve a 10 GW renewable energy portfolio by 2030.
